Dead End Hip Hop discuss the David Banner’s 2M1 Movement.
From Banners website: “THE 2M1 MOVEMENT IS TO START CONTROLLING OUR OWN MUSIC, MOVIES, AND CONTENT… PERIOD! WE ARE NOT SIMPLY CHARACTERS IN A VIDEO GAME being controlled by the invisible hand. Once the goal is met, I’m going to shoot a movie that will drop May 22, 2013, and a portion will go to charity.”
The game has been since 2007 with Radioheads In Rainbows album They were the first group to do this Donate concept not using the labels . By asking people to donate whatever price they saw fit and had a huge success with Digital downloads.

D.E.H.H total forgot to mention the guy who gave David Banner the Idea Louis CK. He put out the first Digital download for a stand up comic and asked for a $5 Donations.

Lots of artists are trying Digital downloads for a set donation in this day and time because works.
Regardless of what Genres you are into I know for a fact that if you know how to market on the internet the right way and your product is good you will make money.
When you say that the small guy cant do what David Banner is doing you guys are not looking at the big picture Hip Hop is Worldwide and right now you can do whatever you want to because of technology.
You can’t not tell me that D.E.H.H is not getting any good donations from the donate button on the site.
Because it is a Good Product with great conversation pieces that im not hearing anywhere else ………….. I know this because im writing this after only just finding this site a few days ago. I Love Hip Hop
Just to change the subject a little, but about Digital Downloads in the Electronic music scene “don’t call it {Techno.. its a style from Detroit}… and its black music for those that don’t know” producers make tracks and those tracks come two ways. Vinyl records that only have two tracks.A…. A side and B side that is purchased buy a label and distribute in small Vinyl quantity from 1000 to 10.000. pressed up.
When any money is made a artists will receive a small royalty or nothing at all only the notary of the track. These records cost about $8 to$13 ….domestic or import for one record to DJ’s. And the other is Digital Downloads….. now that more tracks are becoming digital downloads instead of Vinyl and MP3, WAV, and Flac digital form are available to anyone anywhere worldwide. The game has changed simply because advances in technology to be the self distributor.
Artists/Producers are making real money with out the help from a label. One reason the price has dropped to 99 cent to $1.50 much cheaper for Dj’s …… and the Artists will receive %70 to %90 of the profit a lot of these artists are making more money releasing tracks by themselves. Some selling 1 million downloads for one track
I think people have to stop thinking stateside meaning Just the U.S.A!
Digital Downloads are WorldWide and the market is open for Hip Hop.
I know David Banner is going that 2 million to donate at least $1.
Example to think about not from donations but just Digital Downloads
This is probably a Artists you never herd of before…….. Chase & Status http://rocnation.com/chaseandstatus/ these producer are on ROC Nation JAY Z label. they produced
JAY-Z- “D.O.A (Death of Auto-Tune)
Rihanna: Rated R “Wait Your Turn
Snoop Dogg Featuring Tanvi Shah: “Snoop Dogg Millionaire”
Outside of ROC Nation the label Chase & Status sell Digital tracks that go platinum almost every time they release a track worldwide they were huge before producing any music on ROC Nation

another group
NOISIA
http://www.noisia.nl/
Both of these groups have released several DOPE Tracks for free because they are making money every time they release a track
Think about it!
I can go on all day about this subject
David Banner is going that 2 million to donate at least $1 and then some.
Sorry for the rant
