Wale doesnt appreciate Kellys comments from the Grammys on Sunday. I agree with Wale on this one. Whats your opinion?
“Miguel, I don’t know who the hell you are, but we need to sing together. I mean, good God. That was the sexiest damn thing I’ve ever seen.”
Wales comment
“I didn’t like the Kelly Clarkson back-handed comments to Miguel. I didn’t like that at all. I just feel like our urban music is belittled, a little bit. Not trying to offend nobody on the committee, but for a record as big as ‘Adorn,’ and it to not be presented as a real performance onstage; it was almost like a segue to an award. Again, I don’t want to offend anybody on the committee, but that wasn’t a very good representation of our music because ‘Adorn’ is gonna be around for the next 30 years.”
It doesn’t surprise me that she didn’t know who Miguel was. It’s not like Miguel is some worldwide star. I doubt Wale could name some of the country artists that were performing Sunday night.
I came to say this ^. You can turn this situation to classic role reversal. I’m sure Wale didn’t know EVERY artist to perform that night. So what If she made a comment. In my eyes she gave the man props for his short performance. My wife didn’t even know who Miguel was either and she was impressed. Is she belittling the music too? Or did she just hear someone that she may be interested in listening to further? Wale needs to slide his soap box back under his bunk bed and sit down.
