Video: KAZE – Underground Railroad (ft. Dasan Ahanu)

May 13, 2013 by deadendhiphop

North Carolina native KAZE presents the latest visuals from his February mixtape, Black Kennedy. In the E. Jones produced, Dasan Ahanu assisted “Underground Railroad,” KAZE resurfaces the ugly period in Black History, playing a runaway slave alongside his love interest who finds savior through a passing preacher. Whether or not he finds freedom, well, you’ll just have to watch to the end and find out. This video is not just a lesson in history, where at one point slaves in Wilmington, NC outnumbered whites 2 to 1, the concept also cleverly provides a message for the continual underground versus mainstream battle in Hip-Hop. Featuring guest appearances from the likes of Jozeemo, Amanda Barrino and Wreck N Crew, and production from M-Phazes, D.R.U.G.S. and Talent Ted, Black Kennedy is now available for free download, courtesy of DJBooth.net.
