Video | DJ Drama and Don Cannon Squash Beef

December 4, 2010 by deadendhiphop

This is always good to see and always worth a post. As we know, beef has ravaged hip-hop since The Bridge Wars with KRS-One and Marley Marl to Big and Pac (one of the worst outcomes). An unfortunate byproduct of beef are record sales. So throughout the years, beef has become mainstream to build publicity for upcoming albums (think Lil’ Kim vs. Nicki Minaj) or misunderstandings (think Eminem vs. Royce Da 5’9″). In this industry, beef is useless and really serves no purpose in this non confrontational era of hip-hop (yeah, I’m thinking about you Rick Ross and Young Jeezy).

To conclude, i would like to say that I am happy to see Don Cannon and DJ Drama squash their beef. Props go to both men for being men and moving forward in bringing good music to us all. We thank you.
