Brooklyn, stand up! “Land of the Crooks” is an anthemic Brooklyn banger featuring Kings County heavyweight emcees’ Sean Price and Billy Danze (of M.O.P.), along with the borough’s buzzworthy spit kicker, Maffew Ragazino. Scratches come courtesy of the turntablist himself, DJ Babu of Dilated Peoples/The Beat Junkies, who cuts up Jeru the Damaja’s quotable “Live in the land of crooks, yes Brooklyn’s the borough,” as originally featured on “D. Original.” Production on “Land of the Crooks” is handled by Australia’s Aria Award winning M-Phazes who incidentally won Sha Money’s 2008 One Stop Shop Producer’s Conference with an overtime victory against Canei Finch, with this very instrumental. “Land of the Crooks” is set to be featured on Coalmine Records forthcoming label compilation, Unearthed, which is set for a January 2014 release date.
