The image was striking. The story behind the image even more. The cover is from a photo taken in the early 50’s illustrated by Duane Planes. The kid holding the pistol is Phay’s father and it captures how serious the world was back then. His father only wanted the best so at the age of 19, he move to the United States to escape the war-stricken country. “Us” by Phay is for him. It’s a moving song with a catchy hook and verses. Oh, and that choir at the end completely seals the deal. This is a song of hope and dreams and doing what’s needed to make a better life for yourself, your family, and generations to come.
