Your review for Dessa’s new album was spot on. Ive listened to her album like a million times since it came out and it has yet to get old. Being a female that likes and appreciates hip hop, I can truly say i feel she is the best MC in the game. She is a brilliant lyricist and i totally agree with what you said about really being able to feel the passion from her music. I saw her live to recently to near the end of July at Millennium Park in Chicago and she definitely sounds even better in person! I got a picture with her as well and i must admit i totally got a little crush on her as well & im not even into girls.
Holy shit, Myke. I’ve heard of Dessa only a few times because of (obviously) Doomteee but I’ve never heard any of her stuff before. I’ve got to say that if it’s your mission to get people to listen to this album then you’ve already got one because I’m making checking out her first album and this one my priority, and I’ll be getting them as soon as I can not just because of your reccomendation but because how you described it sounds exactly like the type of thing I’ve been looking for, and it’s funny that you mentioned Cage in this review because by the end of it I was feeling likw she had that same special kind of ‘way with words’ he does, the poetic type of rap or maybe I’m speaking way, way too soon because I’m just going off of what I got out of this review.
ANYWAYS.
Great review and thanks for doing it because otherwise I probably wouldn’t of ever gotten around to listening to Dessa’s albums if it wasn’t for this video.
