Everybody needs a standard. “Declaration of Independence” is Far Out Family’s attempt at creating their own. Combining the voices and ambitions of two young east Atlanta rappers, the project centers around the strength and insecurity of self reliance.
The bulk of the production is handled by Glenn Saddler and Euwei with contributions from Bias the Black, Shalom Little, Kaedus, and The Living on guitar. Drawing off the musical history and sound that their hometown signifies along with a few groups outside of southern hip hop, the boys aim to combine the experimentation of Gnarls Barkley and the Gorillaz with the bass knock of contemporary radio.
