Myke, this list is just awesome. Thank you for the good music. Keep up the great work.
Dude, this is a great list. DId you check out the 2 disc live album Swans released in 2012? It’s called “We Rose from Your Bed with The Sun in Our Heads.” Check it out if you haven’t. I just got a copy of it and it’s an absolutely monumental album. It’s as epic and sprawling as “The Seer” if not more so. I’m also assuming you’re a fan of Throbbing Gristle, so definitely check out the X-TG double album that came out too. Genesis left and Peter Christopherson died before the album could be completed, so Chris and Cosey picked up the pieces and finished the album. The first disc is a cover of the entirety of Nico’s “Desertshore” album and the second disc is original material. They’ve got a ton of guest artists on the Desertshore disc, like Blixa Bargled and Anthony from Anthony and the Johnsons.
Good call on Comus by the way. I saw them play in Europe about 3 years ago and have been hoping for new material. I had no idea anything from them came out last year.
Anyway, i just wanted to say your opinion is what makes Deadendhiphop for me. No disrespect to the other people who contribute to the site, but your opinion and knowledge of hip-hop in the context of experimental music is what keeps me coming here.
