Last year A.L Laureate teamed up with Netherland hip hop artist Soulseeker to put out their joint project “Flesh of the Mind”. The EP was actually pretty dark, which was fitting for the seemingly apocalyptic tone life has taken as of late.
Now though the Florida emcee is back with a solo album in “Precautionary Measures”. Family, I needed this album, that raw and rugged hip-hop, battle raps over grimy beats, low bass lines with gruff and brutal lines, tales of the struggle all over underground production that channels the days of Wu, Hiero and the like. Check out the album below which boasts features from Soulseeker, Devize, Cane & a posthumous verse from Praverb the Wyse (RIP).
