From “Woman, Weed, & Weather” to “The Recipe”, which makes sense for radio play, I don’t think Kendrick would have disappointed many with his first single from his upcoming album. I for one, listening to the track, am happy Kendrick and Dre stuck to the K-Dot sound that he has and this isn’t a “Dre” beats of sorts. If that makes sense.
Check Kendrick’s comments on working with Dr. Dre and let us know in the comments what you think about the track.
“As far as the music, we got a chemistry that’s unmatched to me. Alongside with the music, we just talk about stuff, just talk about life in general,” Lamar told MTV News. “I think that’s why we clash together so perfect, because he sees a good kid in a mad city the same way he grew up. So we can talk about certain situations that he never talked about. I think right there alone, it’s a blessing to me — for a personal relationship with him, not just the music.”
