Jah Jr.:”Back 2 Da Dub” [Album Stream]

September 14, 2018 by Michael Stover

I introduced you guys to Georgia’s own Jah Jr. a while ago and to be honest I haven’t been able to keep up with how fast his ascension is happening. The last two years Jah has won the John Lennon Songwriting Award and that songwriting explodes on his full-length album “Back 2 Da Dub”.

Filled with vibrant and colorful production Jah Jr. takes us to where he grew up, he shows us the darkness and struggle that he came from with honest storytelling and interludes to piece the painting together. Despite all of this, Jah Jr. always shows love for Dublin. “Back 2 Da Dub” is one of the more focused and consistent projects I’ve heard this year. If you have the chance to see him at Atlanta’s A3C I strongly suggest doing so. Until then you can stream “Back 2 Da Dub” below. We’ll be interviewing Jah Jr. very soon.
