yo I’m definitely gonna check it ou cuz I have nev erer listened to him and by the review sounds like something I would enjoy. Oh, and C-town…….. what was that at the end with ” Beezy fa O aahh!!” LMFAO !!! hahaha
Nice review i got the album cause i heard it from Myke on the deadendhiphop anticipation 2013 and i love it from top to bottom.
The video is set to private…?
It’s been fixed.
Brilliant, thanks! Been looking forward to your review of this. I think Bill has really come into his own on this one. I definitely agree with you on the sequencing. But, am a bit more forgiving when it comes to the 90’s R&B influenced track. I’m a sucker for curve balls. That said, the original version (as posted above) would definitely have flowed better on the album. It’s a bit of a shame that he couldn’t get the sample clearance.
I would personally love to see Ill Bill do a whole album with El-P – especially, after what he brought out in Killer Mike on, R.A.P. Music. One can only dream! Loved the little anecdote about HR of Bad Brains, by the way. What he did on that track was killer!
P.S. Do you think that you and/or the guys will be reviewing, Trunk Muzik Returns?
Myke, There are two versions of When I Die. The music video version has ill Bill production while the album version features a Pete Rock remix.
The original faced copyright issues but here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CF1uZr6k6Cc
Ah…didn’t know that. Thanks for the info.
