After dropping hints of a possible collaborative project, Gucci Mane and Metro Boomin have officially confirmed it’s existence. Drop Top Wop will hit the streets on May 26th, the one year anniversary of Gucci’s release from jail. The artwork and tracklist was also released. The project will be a short 10 tracks, and will have guest features from Offset, 2 Chainz, Young Dolph, and Rick Ross.
The cover art, if you haven’t noticed, is very similar to that of Clipse’s Lord Willin’. This clearly Gucci and Metro paying homage to the group and album. The feature list and Metro being on the boards clearly boost the hype for this project beyond what it would be for a normal Gucci project. There should be a good amount of slaps on this.
