Doctor Magnum is a hip hop fused jazz band that is continuing a resurgence in jazz blending in elements of hip hop. Doctor Magnum’s first studio album Magnum Carta Holy Grail will be released April 29th on Bandcamp. Here is the tracklist to the project:

The album was recorded live in the studio with no overdubs earlier and mastered by Kelly Hibbert (J-Dilla’s Ruff Draft, Karriem Riggins/s Alone Together, Flying Lotus’s 1983). Driving in the same lane as Robert Glasper, BadBadNotGood, Moonchild, and Exact Change Project, Doctor Magnum lends their own interpretations modern day songs such as Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin’ Bout You” (below) and Tyler the Creator’s “Awkward” (above).
