Devine Carama – The Message [Nas Tribute]

July 31, 2012 by deadendhiphop

This is the first leak from Devine Carama’s Nas tribute tape entitled “It Was Rewritten” with the help from Lexington, Ky producer 2 Mello (who produced Goldern Era Flow from “Heart Of A King”) as they rework some of the more notable songs from Nasir’s “It Was Written” album and gave it a fresh look. This is set to drop in September. One thing I like about this is that it’s different than the standard Illmatic remixes as Devine opts to go with arguably Nas’s second classic album in his discography. What y’all think about this one? Good start?

“Nas is my favorite MC & this is one of if not my favorite albums of all time. I just wanted to pay homage & hopefully shed light and inspire the younger generation to go back and study “It Was Written”. Peace. ” – Devine Carama
