Denzel Curry – Threatz

June 23, 2013 by deadendhiphop

If you’ve heard of Florida Rapper/Producer SpaceGhostPurrp you may know of his Raider Klan crew. And if you’re familiar with the Raider Klan you may have heard of Denzel Curry, the second youngest member in the Klan who hails from Carol City, Miami. I stumbled upon Curry in late 2012 and have been enjoying his music since. His flow and young energy can bring to mind members of the legendary Hip Hop group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, a comparison Curry himself has acknowledged. But he sites many legends as influences on his style such as UGK, Three Six Mafia, Big L, Outkast, and NWA to name a few. In early March 2013, Denzel Curry released an official music video on his YouTube account for “Threatz”, a single off his upcoming mixtape Nostalgic 64. In “Threatz”, Curry is joined by fellow Klan member Yung Simmie and Robb Bank$ who is from the crew Savage Life Smart Stunnas. With Waka Flocka Flame stating he wants to be on the remix after hearing Curry’s “Threatz”, the song is worth a good listen.
