About Prohaize:
After residing in Ghana, Africa for the first nine years of his life, Prohaize relocated to the United States. At the age of thirteen, he set out to make a name for himself within the Atlanta metropolitan area as a musician, specifically in Hip Hop. This gave birth to the name “Prohaize;” meaning that he knows how to advantageously transgress over obstacles or as he refers to it, “A Pro at getting high successfully.” When asked about why he started making music, his response was “I plan to share the drastic stories of African upbringings and sociological American experiences in a marketable and appealing way. Doing this will help me generate the money to help those very people that the stories are about.” Since releasing his debut project Lift a Finger EP in March 2012, Prohaize has grown exponentially in his artistry, live performance prowess and the connection he carries with his fan base. Prohaize expects to continue sharing stories of “drastic African upbringings and sociological American experiences” with the release of his African Born American Raised Mixtape due in 2013. His most recent accomplishment stems from being booked to perform in Underground Atlanta’s 2013 New Year’s Eve Peach Drop. As the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in the Southeastern US, it reached over 100,000 in attendance for the year of 2013
