Common was at the White House for the “Evening of Poetry” last week amid a lot of controversy. Or, simply put, Fox News took shots. As hip hop heads, you all know that Common is not a vile rapper as he was portrayed on Fox News, Bill O’Reilly, and Sean Hannity.

Dead End Hip Hop takes a look at this invitation, the choice of Common, and Fox News point of view of Common even after they honored him a few years back. Hip Hop is not beyond politics as the culture has always been socially conscious and uplifting. Common has been one of those champions
