In spite of all of her detractors, Nicki Minaj has eclipsed Gold status into Platinum status. It was her year last year in which we saw or heard about Nicki Minaj all year long and she backed it up in sales where many thought she would flop. While I wasn’t a die hard fan of the album, Pink Friday, I do believe in Nicki Minaj’s talent (for what its worth). Now, I just need a street album from Nicki Minaj. Platinum in 6 weeks. Goes to show, if you put out music the people want, they will buy. #2 rap album and #4 album in the country per Billboard. Incredible.
