CHEAP SHOOTS!
P.S. excellent review, Spot on
Myke I know you hate when we request things instead of discussing but I felt I had to here. I don’t know if you heard of this guy or not but Jeremiah Jae is easily one of the best hip-hop artists out there and you guys haven’t shown him any love. I love the channel don’t get me wrong. I know you’re a fan of experimental music more so than the other thats why i’m posting it here. He had a huge part in my top 3 albums of the year. You have to listen to “Jeremiah Jae & Oliver the 2nd – Rawhyde”. His other two this year are “Black Jungle Squad – Black Jungle Radio” and “YBP – Gesus”. Seriously man you gotta check this guy out. Thanks for the stuff you been doing, I’m a big fan and would love to hear what you think about it.
myke you should solo review the uncluded’s album.
I agree with you on this. I really liked this EP but CanOx has such high expectations its hard not to feel some small shred of disappointment. I hope these weren’t hand selected tracks that are going to define the rest of the album.
Not to get too off track… I really like Cold Vein. But, I feel like Rubberoom’s Architechnology broke the same ground a year earlier.
what did you think of them asking fans to donate 30,000 to them to make an album?
thx for another review
I pretty much share your opinion on the EP. I loved the production on Gotham (the song) and Vordul’s voice gave me chills. Absolutely love his work, from CanOx to Billy Woods and Megagraphitti (that’s actually my favorite Vordul LP). Even though it’s sad that El-P won’t produce anything for it, I just hope that someone like Cryptic or maybe even BOND (or Willie Green, whatever – they’re definitely capable of such production) contribute some beats. But since Cryptic hasn’t made a beat in decades (lol) I assume that this won’t happen neither.*
Same with BOND (wtf is up with the BOND & Woods collabo entitled Oliver Twist?).
*(btw he just recently released his second unreleased album “Truth: Whole Truth, Half Truths, & Lies” http://crypticone.bandcamp.com/album/truth-whole-truth-half-truths-lies).
Vordul is DEFINITELY underrated as an MC. Top 25 of all time if you ask me.
Vast sounded rejuvenated to an extent on “Gotham”.
As far as the album,we shall see.
I didn’t even know they drop the EP thanks for the review myke.
Hoping “Kill The Architect” is dope. And this follow up LP.
