With the recent growth and the support our fans, DEHH is well on its way to the top. This year we have decided to partake in the annual Black Weblog Awards. The Black Weblog Awards was founded in 2005 to give recognition to Black bloggers (and those of the African diaspora) which were largely overlooked by other Internet award events online. What started out as a barely known event has now grown into an international showcase. With participants from over 90 countries, the Black Weblog Awards stands out as one of the most widespread Internet award events for Black bloggers.
To date, the Black Weblog Awards has recognized nearly 180 blogs in over 30 categories. The Awards has also been featured in several mainstream and online media outlets, including NPR, CNN, and others. Winners of the Black Weblog Awards have also went on to appear in other media outlets, like MSNBC, the Huffington Post, BET, and many others.
What does this all mean?
It means that we need YOU to help Dead End Hip Hop secure its place as one of the winners at this year’s awards ceremony in November. From March 1 – April 2, the BWA website will allow voting on new categories. Recommend a new category that DEHH could fall under. On May 11, the new categories will be published and from July 11- Sept 3, nominations will be accepted. This is where we need you. Nominate, nominate, nominate! Cast as many as you like!
When voting wraps up, there will be two winners for each group: one judge’s winner and one people’s choice. Nominate Dead End Hip Hop under the New Blog to Watch, Best Video Blog and Best Group Blog categories.

We will continue to promote and tweet updates about the awards as things progress. Thanks for supporting Dead End Hip Hop!
Good luck
