Basement Up – Broken Dreams (ft. Sound Jones)

October 16, 2013 by deadendhiphop

Basement Up is a trio of emcees out of Frankfort, KY. The group’s name and meaning is a metaphor to signify a person’s rise from the bottom to the top in life situations. Their music offers perspective and reflection from their unique experiences as sons, husbands, fathers, students, veterans and MCs.

The 2nd single “Broken Dreams” off the upcoming EP “Who They Thought We Were”, is a series of stories about hopeless situations that lead to the melodic hook which reminds the listener that when things seem overwhelming, just breath. This record is produced by Matt Houston.
