ATELLER & Akinyemi – things we do (ft. leuca)

March 15, 2018 by deadendhiphop

It’s collaboration season for NY based acts Akinyemi and Ateller as they release their first single “Things We Do” from their upcoming collaborative EP “i am u,”. Over a summery tinged, laid-back groove, Akinyemi showcases his smooth, multi-syllabic rhyme scheme while Leuca comes through with a silky hook for the chorus to wrap things up nicely.

From a background view, Akinyemi is an emcee with Nigerian roots and Ateller is originally from Tel Aviv. Thier upcoming “i am u,” EP sees the duo mesh eclectic and experimental hip-hop sounds. With the brilliant “Things We Do” as a precursor, we only expect nothing but dope sounds from the EP.

If you are an avid DEHH reader, you definitely must have come across Akinyemi previous works such as “Eurydice” and “Fly away” and we also had an extensive sit down with him here where he gives a thorough insight behind his music, Nigerian culture influence and more. The budding emcee is slowly getting his just due as we watch him take decisive steps and moves putting him closer to the apex.
