Archie Bang – Rewind (Prod. by Sargon the Great)

November 3, 2013 by deadendhiphop

ArchieBang_Rewind

While the contemporary rap scene has shifted from selling narcotics to the experiences of drug consumption, Flatbush native Archie Bang decides to take things back to the days of pagers and Pete Rock. On his latest piano laced joint “Rewind,” the emcee leaves no stone unturned as he describes his struggles of living in Flatbush in full detail, as the Brooklyn community has been known to transform itself into a whole different beast when it’s lights out. Bang’s rough vocals over Sargon The Great’s stellar production is a proper throwback to everyone’s favorite era of Hip-Hop. “Rewind” is one of the many jewels that we could expect to find on Archie’s forthcoming album, Never Say Die Vol. 1 (80’sBabies).
