About Archie Bang:
Flatbush representative Archie Bang is not your typical “started from the bottom” story. Yes, his past caught up with him, putting his rap career on hold. But he knows what it takes to make it in the big leagues; after interning at Rawkus Records while in high school, Archie was eventually signed to J Records. From honing his skills with the group, Dirty Water, in Little Rock, AR, Archie Bang eventually found himself at the same table as Clive Davis to discuss business.
Archie’s upbringing in a musical house where his father was a Haitian Jazz musician and his mother constantly played Soul records, helped him appreciate different genres of music and keep his ears attuned to what was simply good. It also showed him the importance of hustling to make something of himself. After collaborating on songs and mixtapes with the likes of Nipsey Hussle and DJ Whoo Kid, Archie maintains his focus while taking his craft to the next level. As he would say, “I am music. I am Hip Hop. I am street. I am Archie Bang.”
