This coming Tuesday, February 26th, A-Wax will release his new free album, Jesus Malverde. The project, which will be released in partnership with Wax’s own label, Pie-Rx Recordz, and Illburn Records, includes features Waka Flocka Flame, Ca$his, and more, including two weighty names, Gucci Mane and Three Six Mafia’s DJ Paul that show up on “Make Room (Remix).”
The single, produced by Nonstop Da Hitman, is one of the most aggressive tracks on Jesus Malverde, and while the album, fittingly given it’s title – Jesus Malverde is the patron saint of thieves and drug dealers – deals with the harsher realities of street life, “Make Room (Remix)” finds the three rappers taking a lighter, more fun approach, each laying into the beat’s plucking synth line and heavy 808’s with slick wisecracks, the chorus breaking things up to proclaim, “Make room for the goons.”
