Boogey, who has been featured here more than a handful of times is back with a brand new single he calls “No Country For Dreamers“. The lyricist is back on his contemplative move as he details the struggles faced by the have nots in his country of Nigeria. He achieves his purpose over a dark, mellow backdrop provided by beatsmith, Ammeromi who laces the perfect canvas for Boogey’s verbal pictures to come to life.
Boogey remains hopeful despite the odds and wishes to inspire the rest of his country men to rise above the hurdle. I am not sure if “No Country For Dreamers” is an official single or a one off release but it’s an interesting one.
Nigerian emcee Boogey, releases his first official single of 2017 titled “Liquor Nights”.
The song is a tale of moral conflict and internal battle with addiction, within the mind of an alcoholic. He narrates an experience (In Marrakech, Morocco) of a fun night that might have gotten out of hand and provides details with the right balance between fuzzy and vivid. The song features vocals from fast rising singer, Tay Iwar aka Tay, and a jazz-themed hip hop production by Sencosonic.
