Wu-Tang Clan, Lil Wayne, Prhyme, Young M.A & More To Headline Atlanta’s A3C Hip-Hop Festival

April 26, 2018 by Michael Stover Leave a Comment

A3C is easily one of the biggest hip-hop, if not music festivals in the world. Bringing together every facet of hip-hop in Atlanta in a weekend of performances. The fun doesn’t stop there though because all through the week, A3C hosts multiple classes, showcases and meet & greets giving artists, producers, writers, deejays and everyone in between a chance to network, learn and grow with other names in the industry big and small.

Earlier this week A3C announced some of the headlining artists that will be taking over the front stage and the list is loaded. Off top Wu-Tang Clan will be coming through to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of their debut album “Enter the 36 Chambers”. If that wasn’t enough Lil Wayne, Prhyme (Royce Da 5’9 & DJ Premier) Young M.A, Westside Gunn & Conway & many more will be taking over the stage this year. Peep the flyer below, you can scoop your tickets HERE. If you’re looking to perform at A3C you can submit your music HERE Keep it locked on Dead End Hip Hop for updates and coverage on the Atlanta based hip-hop conference.

Malibu Shark Attack – S/T Album

August 5, 2014 by Dead End Hip Hop Leave a Comment

I’ve been meaning to post this for a LONG time, but I’m a dickhead and I’ve just been super busy. Anyway, this is the new release by Malibu Shark Attack. They consist of Tribe One (of The Remnant) and producer, Rocky. This is definitely different from the hip hop you’ll randomly hear nowadays. Imagine experimental rap mixed with electro-pop beats mixed with…I don’t even know. All I know is it’s dope! Super catchy and very well made. Remember that project Busdriver did with Radioinactive and Daedelus? Well cross that with, maybe, some of Louis Logic’s more recent material and you’re kind of on the right path.

Either way, stop and give these guys a listen!

You can check their whole album out here!

Below is a video they did for the first track on the record.

Taken from the post on their YouTube page: On May 7th, 2014, The Remnant rocked in East Atlanta Village’s 529 w/ Rhymesayers’ own Blueprint as well as Count Bass D (Speakeasy Promotions event). It’s been quite a journey bringing our recent album Indian Summer to the people. We asked the good folk at Modest Media to help us document it. Take a look!

The Remnant x PJ Morton – The Giveaway (Official Lyric Video)

January 2, 2014 by Dead End Hip Hop Leave a Comment

The fellas in The Remnant recently dropped a dope lyric video for their track, “The Giveaway” off their 2013 release, Indian Summer.

A word from The Remnant:

We linked with PJ Morton (YMCMB/Maroon5) a few years back to record “The Giveaway” for our 2009 project, PB&J. Since then, we’ve performed extensively as well as continued to sharpen our unique brand of retro-progressive hip hop in the vein of De La Soul. In October of this year, we released our follow up album entitled Indian Summer which features Kameron Corvet, Chantae Cann, Carmen Rodgers and folk singer Micah Dalton. As we prepare to hit the road and release more videos in 2014, we’re also planning a duets album that will feature some of our past collaborations (“The Giveaway” included) as well as remixes with which people might be unfamiliar. Until then, enjoy “The Giveaway” and support on iTunes, Amazon or bandcamp – TheRemnant.bandcamp.com
