With his recent album, A Southwest Side Story, landing on Houston Chronicle’s “12 of the Year’s Best Houston Albums,” T2 GhettoHippie has proven to be “as off-kilter as one may find within a Houston rapper” (Houston Press) but he has plenty of support from fellow Houston successes like Kirko Bangz, Drews the Dude, and The Suffers. His song “Hustletown” with Z-Ro debuted on 97.9 The Box with legendary DJ Michael “5000” Watts and Houston Chronicle named T2 a true representative of Houston’s culture in Kyle Hubbard’s music video for, “This is Houston,” which took viewers through a tour around Houston’s iconic spots. With all of Houston’s support behind him and a SXSW 2017 return, T2 Ghetto Hippie is ready to push forward Houston’s musical legacy.
