Red Bull Music Academy: Q-Tip

The Red Bull Music Academy does a pretty cool series of lectures with notable musicians.  One of their latest episodes features Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest.  Although this video is slightly longer than two hours, it is absolutely worth the time of anyone into Tribe, classic hip-hop or any of Q-Tip’s recent work with Kanye.  Tip talks about how he got into producing, influences in his production and MC’ing and even gives the audience a quick snippet of the infamous unreleased Kanye track “Mama’s Boyfriend”.  Very interesting stuff.
