Priest Clay: “The Purple Tape” [Album Stream]

South Carolina emcee Priest Clay has stepped on to the scene with his latest project “The Purple Tape” a nine track journey that honestly reminds me of some of the “come up” hip-hop we used to listen to growing up. Priest Clay knows his lane, knows himself and has the ear for production that best serves his storytelling.

The nine tracks from “The Purple Tape” are a mix of club tracks, tracks for the whip and he even surprised me with the slower and more personal cuts like the “Moneyball (interlude)”. You can peep the music video and EP below. We’ll be reviewing the project and interviewing Priest Clay soon.
