OutKast Annouce New Festival Tour

January 13, 2014 by deadendhiphop

OutKast isn’t gracing us all with just their originally announced headlining performances at Coachella and Governor’s Ball this year. In addition to these shows, Big Boi and Andre 3000 have anounced a 2014 festival tour in which the duo will perform over 40 festivals. This is said to “celebrate the 20th anniversary of their unique and influential sound”.

While dates have not yet been announced, the tour is set to kick off with their performance at Coachella and extend worldwide until the end of the festival season. “It’s truly an honor to celebrate 20 years and still be free to do music the way we choose,” said Big Boi. “Don’t just think outside the box, know that there is no box. I’m looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans – stank you smelly much, this is for y’all!” All of this reiterated on the newly launched OutKast Twitter handle.

And just in case you needed further motivation to get excited for the announced tour, here’s a video for “Hey Ya”:
