Jesse Medina – “Chasin’ Franklin (feat. Kool Keith)” (Video)

Bay Area rapper Jesse Medina and living legend Kool Keith fully embrace their eccentric and drugged-out sides in the trippy new visuals for “Chasin’ Franklin.”
The wonky banger, which dropped this past September, soundtracks sybaritic behavior of the most psychedelic kind in the video directed by Matt Posada (of Film Block Productions). His vision takes lines like “Acid trippin’, f*ckin’ in the kitchen” and brings them to life through colorful, hazy scenery. It’s not exactly an X-rated affair here, but this ain’t something you want to watch around prudish friends and family members (or coworkers for that matter).
But you likely expected that if you’ve been bumping “Chasin’ Franklin” since it was released, and especially if you’re a fan of Medina and Keith’s previous work. This is a collaboration with Dr. Octagon himself (whose imagery makes a guest appearance in the video), who isn’t necessarily known for his subtlety.
“Chasin’ Franklin.” is set to be featured on Granjer Records’ forthcoming compilation LP, Thiswaywestward.
The track is also accompanied with the release of a comic book that details Jesse’s adventures with the eccentric Dr. Octagon. The comic is available at select comic book retailers in the LA and the Bay Area, and can be purchased directed via Soft Comics online, and requesting a copy.
