Ill Poetic: “8:44”

Ohio-born emcee Ill Poetic has been in the game for awhile and honestly seems to have done everything in hip-hop. Last year Ill Po produced an entire album for Michigan emcee Red Pill in “Instinctive Drowning”. Truthfully a record I didn’t see coming, but it apparently was just a flash of what’s to come.

Today I have the single “[8:44]” from his upcoming album “An Idiot’s Guide to Anarchy” and it’s on some “dancing to the end of the world” type stuff. Rather fitting for the times we’re in, Ill Poetic says “I wanted to take a lot of the fun, upbeat Ohio Funk songs my hometown is known for, and twist the vibe into something dark and sarcastic but heartfelt, without losing that care-free vibe”. I think the song speaks for itself so you can stream “[8:44]” below and get ready because “An Idiot’s Guide To Anarchy” releases via Ill Poetic’s label Definition Music on November 21st.
