Man look, Freddie Joachim continues to impress me with his work. I have listened to this mixtape off an on since May and I feel really compelled to post this in case there are more of you out there looking for some dope hip hop, jazz, and soul music. With this project, Freddie remixes Alicia Keys, Full Crate & Mar, Clara Hill, Esthero, Vikter Duplaix, Floetry and more. I have to highlight the Floetry remix. The way he flipped “Sometimes U Make Me Smile” into a slow and sultry mix all while highlighting the vocals from Marsha and the Floecist was sooooo fresh. This mix is definitely one you put on when you have a honey over kicking it with with a low light hue (add a dimmer to your place gentlemen…it’s easy to do) and you need something to set the mood. Always go for something a little different than the status quo. And please, NO TREY SONGZ!! That won’t cut it.
