The hustler’s anthem, produced by Swaggggyb, finds Flipp and Critch trading bars about their desire for luxurious things and the realization they need to work to get there. The way both of their 2018’s have gone thus far, it’s clear the hard work is there.
Flipp is having his biggest year yet with the success of his certified hit single “Leave Me Alone.” The song and video has a total of roughly 20 million streams across all platforms, has been co-signed by the likes of Drake, Odell Beckham Jr., Russell Westbrook, DJ Khaled, Ty Dolla $ign, Tory Lanez, who Flipp is currently touring with, and so many others. In a recent interview with Billboard, Flipp says, in regards to “Leave Me Alone”‘s success, “I don’t know how to explain [this feeling]. It is crazy. I am just thankful.”
Last night, Beyonce and Jay-Z’s “OTR 2” tour came to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and during DJ Khaled’s opening set, he brought out Flipp to perform “Leave Me Alone” in front of the 65,000+ sold-out crowd. It was an amazing moment for Flipp and local tri-state fan base.
