In the second week of Dead End Hip-Hop: In Case You Missed It, we’ll be going over all things hip-hop and DEHH related to catch you up on everything you need to know to be caught up for the new week.
- Tyler, the Creator releases “a throwaway song” titled OKRA. It’s a colorful, vibrant, and may cause a seizure at a certain point in the video so be wary.
- The recent signee to Mike WiLL Made-It’s Label, Trouble releases his debut project Edgewood and it’s hard-boiled start for the Atlanta Rapper. Menacing, layered, spooky, and absolutely layered with Mike WiLL’s production get to know Trouble on his album.
- Joey Bada$$ delivers on a remix of YBN Nahmir’s “Bounce Out With That” keeping his word on more Pro Era records throughout 2018.
- We can expect Cardi B’s first album titled “Invasion of Privacy”, from Atlantic Records, on April 6th.
- With DJ Esco project Kolorblind out right now they dropped a visual for “Code of Honor” last Monday featuring Future and ScHoolboy Q.
- The Weeknd released a surprise EP on Friday titled “My Dear Melancholy,” and has promptly given all of our timelines lyrics to dissect and quotes to fuel Snapchat for the weekend.
- Presenting a collaboration tape like no other…Czarface and MF Doom have blessed us with “Czarface Meets Metal Face” a sixteen track project that has both halves come together in an almost comic book versus or crossover style for our ears.
- Myke C-Town one of our DEHH Heads released a solo album review for the newest release from Dessa titled “Chime.”
The DEHH Group got together to do two album reviews as well.
- “PRhyme 2 is the return of hip-hop duo DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’9″. The album was produced by DJ Premier and were beats composed from AntMan Wonder’s production. The album was released on March 16, 2018, on their label PRhyme Records and INgrooves music group. The album has features from 2 Chainz, Big K.R.I.T., CeeLo Green, Dave East, Denaun Porter, Yelawolf, and Roc Marciano.”
- “Roc Marciano is back with the follow up to Rosebud Revenge. Rosebud Revenge 2: The Bitter Dose was released on March 9th, 2018. The album has features from Knowledge the Pirate and Action Bronson. The album has production from Element, Don Cee, Animoss, and Roc Marci himself.”
