Dead End Hip Hop x Salem Psalms – “The Joint” (Mixtape)

In October during the A3C Hip Hop Festival, Dead End Hip Hop blocked out Salem Psalms Studios in Atlanta, GA for an entire week to create “The Joint,” a live mixtape experience. We invited Emcees and Producers from all over the country to create new music while Modest Media captured every moment.

The project features many of the same acts that Dead End Hip Hop would be reviewing. Artists like Cormega, General Steele, Black Milk, Skyzoo, Roc Marciano, CunninLynguists, Clear Soul Forces, iLLmind, THURZ and many more. One of the lead singles Sound of the City was a collaboration between some of Detroit’s finest in Black Milk Clear Soul Forces and Boog Brown, which marked the first time these three have collaborated. “The Joint is filled from front to back with first time collabs with so many hip hop notables.

Salem Psalms has a rich history of creating unique recording events. The company created on site recording concepts and projects for A3C, Brooklyn Hip Hop Fest, SXSW, and built mobile studios for DJ Jazzy Jeff and Unique Squared. The executive producers, The Dynamite Bruhz speared headed 4 different music festival powered mixtapes and may have provided their best compilation with this project.
