California spitter and TDE/Black Hippy member Ab-Soul is back again this time gearing up for the release of what seems to be a new project. The song (which can be streamed below) is yet another example of one of the many socio-political tracks that Soul Brother Number 2 has put together, that includes a good amount of his debut album, Control System.
In the song, which address’ the death on former L.A. police officer Christopher Dorner and the Obama Administrations controversial Drone program in the title, there is a clear reference to the song the song New Slaves released earlier this year on Kanye West’s latest album. “Went and bought some Alexander Wang, after I heard the New Slaves” Soulo spits toward the back end on the track.
This is not the first time the TDE crew has mentioned or used Kanye as an influence in their music (see Kendrick Lamar’s, HiiiPoWeR) it only goes to show greatest inspires greatness. Listen to the song below.
